Workspace switcher versus mobile drawer
On a phone, Inkpacket’s workspace switcher sits above Open desk menu. The drawer is #desk-mobile-nav. Help and Sign out are not rows. That is switcher-versus-drawer honesty — two chrome pieces, not a missing Team page.
On a phone, two pieces of desk chrome sit next to each other and are not the same control. The workspace switcher stays above the hamburger. Tap Open desk menu — the Menu icon next to Inkpacket — to open the drawer #desk-mobile-nav. That drawer is Documents, Templates, Bulk send, Web Forms, Team, Billing, Settings, and Admin when showAdmin is on. The switcher is not a drawer row. Help is not a drawer row. Sign out sits in the footer. That is switcher-versus-drawer honesty: changing organization is not hidden in Team, and Team was not deleted because the switcher is outside the menu.
The drawer map is mobile desk hamburger menu map. Seat invites are workspace team invite versus signing invite. Settings mail on a drawer row is Settings email From and Reply-To. Desk help is Docs. This guide is the switcher versus that drawer.
Ask Inkpacket for workspace switcher versus mobile drawer to open this article. Ask where is team on mobile or hamburger to open help. Ask team on mobile to open Team. Those phrases stay on the product screens. This article is the public version of why the org name is above Menu and Team is inside it.
What each control does
- Workspace switcher — pick another organization you already belong to. Envelopes, templates, and seats stay scoped. You did not invent a second desk app.
- Open desk menu — the same destination list as the desktop sidebar. It is a details control (lg:hidden). On large screens the hamburger is hidden; use the left sidebar (lg:flex).
- Help — header link, workspace · role · plan · Help. Stays visible on a phone. Not a #desk-mobile-nav row.
- Sign out — footer. Not a drawer row. Not the switcher.
Members can send in the workspace they are in. They cannot mint API tokens. Switching org does not waive the monthly envelope cap on the org you left or the one you entered. Each organization has its own Free 5. Invite still does not refuse when a workspace is full — seat counts are planning numbers.
What the switcher is not
- Not Team. Team is /desk/team in the drawer — members and seat invites.
- Not Billing. Checkout is not open on /desk/billing. Opening the switcher does not charge a card.
- Not a signing link. A teammate inviteUrl has no PDF.
- Not Admin for everyone. showAdmin is the platform email check, and that row is still in the drawer.
Text-message (SMS) is coming soon — that card is Settings, in the drawer. Drive missing: Drive not configured — same Settings page. Stripe off: Payments not live — Billing in the drawer still shows the billing note. Switching workspace does not configure those keys. It also does not move a sent envelope into another organization. Org isolation stays ordinary.
The click-path
- On a phone, read the org name above Menu. That is the switcher. Use it only to change workspace.
- Tap Open desk menu for Documents, Team, Billing, or Settings.
- Use the header Help link when you want the map section again.
- Do not open checkout to “unlock” a row that is already in the drawer.
- On a large screen, use the left sidebar. The hamburger is hidden. The switcher is still in the header.
Ask Inkpacket for hamburger or desk menu to open help. Ask documents on mobile, templates on mobile, bulk send on mobile, web forms on mobile, team on mobile, billing on mobile, or settings on mobile to open that screen. This article does not navigate. Marketing Ask stays site Q&A and deep links. It will not switch your workspace from this article.
Why people confuse them
The header looks empty until you tap Menu. The org chip is the one thing that still looks like a control. New operators tap it hunting for Documents. That is the wrong door. Documents is a drawer row. The switcher only lists organizations. If you have one workspace, the chip still is not Team. Planning team seats is how invite works after you open the Team row.
The FAQ does not invent a mobile-only desk. After you sign in, the same organization-scoped pages are there. New teams open a workspace on Free and send from Documents — the drawer is how you reach that list on a phone, and the switcher is how you leave that list for another org you already joined.
Caps and what is not open yet
Opening the switcher or the drawer is not a send. Free allows 5 packets a month. Free at 5 packets a month is the live cap desk send, bulk rows, Web Form fills, and API send share. Hitting it returns HTTP 402 ENVELOPE_LIMIT. Starter is 20 envelopes — more than Free — plus 3 published Web Forms. Seat counts are planning numbers; invite does not refuse when a workspace is full.
Billing is published, not charging. Checkout is not open. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. Drive missing: Drive not configured. Stripe off: Payments not live. Those flags do not hide Team, put Help in the drawer, or turn the switcher into a member list. Desk help uses workspace switcher sits above the hamburger and #desk-mobile-nav in the same words.
Switch the org above Menu. Open the route inside Menu. File the envelope from Documents when you are in the right workspace. Open a workspace on Free — see published pricing — or sign in on a phone so switcher-versus-drawer honesty is a pair of controls you have already used before a signer waits on a link you opened in the wrong organization.
