Text-message reminders are coming soon

Coming soon. Text-message (SMS) reminders are coming soon, and reminders go out by email today. Inkpacket does not text a signing link. The envelope and the signing URL still exist.

Text-message (SMS) reminders are coming soon. Email is what goes out today. Inkpacket does not text a signing link. The desk does not void the envelope. It still shows the signing URL.

The public walkthrough is SMS signing invites are coming soon. Desk help is Docs. Features is SMS signing invites. This guide is the honest limit: text-message (SMS) is coming soon, so do not clone the envelope looking for a text.

What is true today

Text-message (SMS) reminders are coming soon, and reminders go out by email today. Inkpacket does not text a signing link. Copy the signing link. Share it in a channel you already have.

The envelope stays SENT. The token stays the same. Resend and reminders go out by email. Sequential routing does not send a text.

Not a dead envelope

  • The envelope id does not change.
  • Reminders still walk outstanding SENT envelopes.
  • Void, correct, and resend still sit on that document.
  • Embed still uses the same token.

Mail has the same honesty. If Resend is missing, the desk says Invite email was not sent and still shows the URL — invite email help. A missing email is still one live envelope. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. Do not create a twin because mail was skipped.

What to do after a soft-fail

  1. Open the document. Copy the signing link.
  2. Share that URL yourself — chat, a call, a thread you already operate.
  3. If you set an access code, share the PIN on a second channel, separate from the email.
  4. If the email was wrong and nobody has signed, correct the recipient on the same envelope. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon.

Do not mint a second envelope toward the monthly cap because a text is not part of this send. That would be a second audit trail and a second reminder schedule. When to void, correct, or resend is the fork. What happens after a signing reminder fires is the cadence job. Reminders go out by email today.

What SMS is not

  • Not a live text. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon.
  • Not a second signing token. Email uses one URL.
  • Not a workspace login. The signer still does not create an Inkpacket account.
  • Not live card checkout. Payments not live is a different state.

A public Web Form fill still emails (or logs) the invite after submit. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. The envelope for each unique email still exists. Sequential later signers are not emailed until their turn.

Share an access code separately from the email. After five wrong guesses the signing page locks for 15 minutes. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. When to require an access code is that lock. Embed uses the same token.

Phone, turn, and reminders

Reminders go out by email today. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. When a later signer’s turn arrives, mail or a copied URL is the door. A reminder is not a new envelope and not a new token.

If you correct the email, the previous signing token is retired. Resend emails the outstanding signer. Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. If the deal is off, void the envelope.

Email is the reminder that goes out

Open the sent envelope and read the copy box before you look for a text. If the invite email was sent, the signer already has the tokenized link. If the desk says Invite email was not sent, copy that URL and share it in a channel you already use. A reminder on the hourly job emails the same outstanding signer again. It does not mint a new token and it does not text them. Sequential routing waits to email the next order until earlier signers finish. Correcting the email retires the old token and emails the new address. Resend emails the current link again.

Stay on that envelope id. A second draft spends another send against the monthly cap and starts a second audit trail. Share an access code separately from the email. Text-message (SMS) reminders are coming soon. Until that channel exists, the email and the copied signing link are the whole invite.

Caps and what is not open yet

A text is not a send. The send that created the envelope already counted. Free allows 5 packets a month. Free at 5 packets a month is the live cap this envelope shares with bulk rows, Web Form fills, and API send. Hitting it returns HTTP 402 ENVELOPE_LIMIT. Starter is 20 envelopes — more than Free — plus 3 published Web Forms. Seat counts are planning numbers; invite does not refuse when a workspace is full.

Billing is published, not charging. Checkout is not open. Drive missing: Drive not configured. Stripe off: Payments not live. The signing link does not wait on those keys. The FAQ and SMS help say text-message (SMS) is coming soon, in the same words.

Text-message (SMS) is coming soon. Reminders go out by email today. Copy the URL if the invite email was not sent. Stay on the same envelope. Then file the stamped PDF when they finish. The five-minute send still works by email — send a document for signature in under five minutes. Open a workspace on Free — see published pricing — and send one envelope by email.
